Hi, my name is MICA, and I have been passionately creating beauty experiences for over 20 years. My journey began in 2004 as a nail artist in Japan, working at salons in Osaka and my hometown of Toyama. During this time, I honed my technical skills and developed my signature style, specializing in hand-drawn nail art and airbrush painting on nails and various surfaces.

In 2010, I opened my own salon in Japan, where I could fully express my artistic vision. Alongside nail art, I pursued my lifelong dream of special effects makeup, serving clients who wanted creative and unique looks for parties, events, and Halloween.

For me, beauty is not just about nails, makeup, or lashes. True beauty is expressed in how you carry yourself, your posture, and your mindset. This belief led me to train as a walking and posture coach, guiding women to enhance both their physical presence and inner confidence. I also mentored and supported aspiring beauty professionals, helping them launch their own successful careers.

Later, I moved to Tokyo, working as a freelance makeup artist, nail artist, and kimono dresser, focusing on artistic beauty and unique client experiences.

After relocating to Sweden, I opened Atelier Mica from scratch, building a salon and business without any regular clients. This journey reminded me of my true passion: creating magical, memorable experiences in the beauty industry. My goal is not simply to provide services like nails or lashes, but to give each client an “aha” moment — a feeling of wonder, confidence, and comfort.
